Andrew Stearn is a television producer. He is a co-executive producer on Southland. He often works with Southland show runner John Wells; they have collaborated on Citizen Baines, Presidio Med, Johnny Zero, The Big Time, Third Watch, The West Wing, The Evidence, Smith and Shameless.
Biography[]
Earlier career[]
In 2000 he was a co-producer on the short-lived family drama Citizen Baines, executive produced by Wells. In 2002 he was a producer on short-lived legal drama The Court and short-lived medical drama Presidio Med, executive produced by Wells. He also joined the crew of Third Watch as a producer for the third season. He remained in this role until the series ended in 2005 after completing its sixth season. Wells was an executive producer for Third Watch. Also in 2002 he was a co-producer on the television feature The Big Time, which was executive produced by Wells.
In 2003 he joined the crew of Wells Productions successful political drama The West Wing as a producer for the fifth season. In 2004 he was a producer on Wells Productions short-lived action drama Jonny Zero and remained a producer for the sixth season of 'The West Wing. In 2006 he was a producer for the seventh and final season of The West Wing and a producer for Wells Productions short-lived crime drama Smith.
Southland[]
He joined the crew of Southland as a producer for the first season in 2009. He remained a producer for the second season in 2010. He was promoted to co-executive producer for the third season in 2011. He returned as a co-executive producer for the fourth season in 2012.
